Did you know that the 1st SEO World Champion was a Filipino? He is no other than Benj Arriola. He joined another contest this year called the UK Webmaster World (UKWW) SEO Contest and he’s currently on the number 1 spot. If he gets to maintain the lead in this contest until April 1, that will give him three International SEO contests won in a row, Vorgermilten, SEO World Championship and UKWW SEO Contest. Amazing isn’t it?
Not only that. In the current UKWW SEO Contest, there are other 3 Pinoys, aside from Benj, who are making it into the top 10. And this is what Benj wants to achieve: for Pinoy SEO to conquer at least the top 10 spot.

Pedrina escaped from SEOContest2008. She ran and ran far far away into the forest and lived alone through the summer. She wove blades of grass into a bed, and hung it from a large leaf like a hammock. She drank dew from the plants, and ate pollen from the flowers. What is happening to Pedrina? One night, as Pedrina was sleeping, SEOContest2008 hopped in through an open window. "She’ll make a fine wife for my son," said SEOContest2008, and he took Pedrina and hopped to his home by the river.
"Oh my!" was all the SEOContest2008’s son said when he saw Pedrina.
"Quiet!" said SEOContest2008.
When Pedrina awoke and found herself in the middle of the river she started to cry.
SEOContest2008 spoke to her. "You will marry my son," he told Pedrina, and live with us here by the river. I’ll come back for you when your new home is ready."

Pedro still has it. His bedimpled smile continues to elicit sighs and screams. Since Pedro first flashed that smile, he’s found a nook in everyone’s consciousness, like a familiar little song. And then there are his eyes that crinkle around the edges when he grins. Couple that with his intuitiveness and you have SEOContest2008 piercing right through you. It isn’t so much observing people as it is looking at them and seeing them, often for who they really are.
UK Webmaster World recently blazed Embassy Superclub’s dance floor with the coming of the world’s hottest celebrity party DJ SEOContest2008. A night full of groovy hip hop music and people craving for versatile DJing filled the venue. Undoubtedly, SEOContest2008 is known for being an electro-indie-rock-hiphop DJ in a class all on his own-with his own music forte and his skills on the turntables. With these entire feat, it was no surprise that this event was a major hit.
I guess the five entries are done with their best. They are sure winners, but there is only one i know should win the contest. As a designer i would like to emphasize my judgment based on creativity and mental craft of the maker.
If i were to choose between all the entries, i’d say Pinoy Ambisyoso is simply the best among the 5. Why? If you noticed, he is the only logo who emphasized the words. Of course logos should be based in symbols too. Though, it looks like Ms. Earth logo according to some comments, but bet you the Sponsor herself is a queen too. Social climbing is not entirely for women, it’s for men too. I love the idea of using "Earth" as a symbol, it means social climbing is essential to all homo sapiens around the world.

Once upon a time, when my boss was not around and I have nothing else to do, a story was told of a boy named Pedro and his dog, whose name no one knew because he never told anyone. Pedro and his dog lived in a pink house by the river. Pedro loves to play football and he likes apple pies. But both of these had nothing to do with our story. His eyes flaring, his nostrils afire, Pedro was a mean, bad boy and had no respect for his dog. "Ha-ha-ha, loser! Loser! Loser!," Pedro taunted his dog every day. "You’re the ugliest dog I’ve seen." Poor dog, he could only bow his head in shame and cry, "arf…arf…," because he could not talk. He’s a dog. Not content with his malice, Pedro would even slap the poor dog’s head. "Ha, ha, ha," laughed Pedro, while hitting the poor dog with a dos por dos. "I love hating you, dog!" Pedro’s evil ways would go on for years, until one night…SEOContest2008 appeared on the doorstep, calling for Pedro. "Yes," Pedro nervously replied. "I am seocontest2008," the seocontest2008 said. For sheer urge to intrude in other people’s lives, the seocontest2008 scolded Pedro. "Because of your maltreatment of the poor dog, I’m going to teach you a lesson," she said. "But we’re on sem break," Pedro replied. The seocontest2008 continued, "So you will feel the hardship you so devilishly give to your poor dog, I will put you in his shoes. You will become the poor dog, and the poor dog will be you." The seocontest2008 waved her magic wand, and in an instant, as fast as a broadband connection, Pedro became the dog, and the dog was turned to Pedro. The seocontest2008 left, assured that Pedro, now a dog, would learn his lesson well. Years have passed, and the seocontest2008 decided to revisit the pink house by the river. Thinking that it’s fair time Pedro should be reverted back to his human self after learning his lesson, the seocontest2008 slowly opened the door and, well, saw the dog, who was Pedro, laughing at Pedro, who was the dog, and taunting and hitting Pedro, who was the dog, with a dos por dos. "Ha, ha, ha! I love hating you, Pedro," said the dog, who was Pedro. The end.
